Doing Participatory Action Research

These resources will be useful if you are interested in doing participatory action research to make change.

What is participatory action research?: Read this factsheet which outlines what it looks like.

Using different methodologies: This presentation explores some of the different methodologies used in traditional and non-traditional research (like participatory action research)

Participatory action research and intersectionality: This presentation explores what intersectionality is and how to address it within your research.

From March 2009 to July 2010 WRC conducted participatory action research involving four women’s organisations or networks who were active research participants. WRC actively supported and worked with these organisations to engage with their Local Strategic Partnership and influence locally.

Read the final report Power and Prejudice which examines what helps - and what hinders - women's organisations in creating change at a local level.
